We left Dragon*Con in Atlanta around 7am and arrived in Mobile around noon, only to find that the port had been closed due to a tropical storm that was blowing through the area.  The drive was actually a little creepy.  If we'd been back in the midwest, I'd have been worried about tornadoes.

We found a decently priced hotel nearby, where apparently a number of other cruise-goers were staying, and wandered across the street to the mall for a bit.  My mom suggested we check out Dauphin island, so we drove over there.  The ferry was closed but luckily the bridge was still open.  It was a little cool and very windy, but we still had fun walking along the beach.  Grant went crazy with my camera.

Back at the hotel, we discovered a Star Wars marathon on TV.  We pretended we were still at Dragon*Con for the rest of the evening.
